Faith Lutheran Mission Church

Rev. Julie Smith, a faculty member of the Institute of Lutheran Theology which trains pastors and educators, will deliver the message during worship at Faith Lutheran Mission Church in Eau Claire at

Pastor Smith teaches pastoral theology at the Institute for Lutheran Theology, an independent, pan-Lutheran theological project holding that God in Jesus Christ brings sinners to repentance and new life.  Committed both to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, and to deep dialogue with the contemporary intellectual horizon, the Institute works with supporting congregations to education the next generation of faithful Lutheran preachers and teachers.

All of ILT’s courses are taught online in real time, so students can attend courses from wherever they happen to be.  In addition to hearing from Pastor Smith, Faith Lutheran Mission Church will dedicate its this Sunday’s mission offering (totaling 20% of plate offering) to support the Institute for Lutheran Theology.

Faith Lutheran Mission Church is the first and only in the Eau Claire area to affiliate with LCMC, a centrist, congregation-based Lutheran church body which recognizes Scripture as the sole source and norm of faith and life. Details about LCMC and its mission can be found at www.lcmc.net.

Anyone is welcome to attend both the 5 p.m. service and the meal and fellowship time to follow.  Details about Faith Lutheran Mission Church can be found at faithlutheranmc.org.
