Hayward LCMC Pastor Returns to Lead Worship at Faith Lutheran Mission Church

Pastor Tony Stoutenburg, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church of Hayward, will be the guest pastor for Faith Lutheran Mission Church, Eau Claire’s new LCMC congregation at 5 p.m. on Sunday,

February 28.  The congregation worships at The Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, 1915 Hogeboom Street, with a time of food and fellowship to follow.

Pastor Stoutenburg, who also preached at Faith Lutheran Mission Church on February 7, returns to lead worship.  Grace in Hayward was the first Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) church in northwestern Wisconsin.  After the service, Pastor Stoutenburg will join the congregation for the fellowship supper, and will share updates of what is happening in LCMC.

As a church dedicated to mission work outside the church walls, Faith Lutheran Mission Church will dedicate 10% of Sunday’s offering to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, and another 10% to Feed My People.

Faith Lutheran Mission Church formed January 13, and held its first service this January 31.  The church is the first in the Chippewa Valley to affiliate with LCMC, a centrist, congregational-based Lutheran church body which recognizes Scripture as the sole source and norm of faith and life. Details about LCMC and its mission can be found at www.lcmc.net.

Everyone is welcome to attend both the 5 p.m. service and the fellowship time to follow.  Details about Faith Lutheran Mission Church can be found at faithlutheranmc.org.
